you can see how hazy it was this morning. i don’t know if that was a precursor of the day’s heat … or perhaps residue of the big fires down parade florida. folks have suggested that the fires explain the haziness we’ve noticed recently.

at around 20 miles we reached the little town of morley. we had been told there were no food ops here, but as we biked thru, we saw barb & linda leaving the front of a tiny little cafe. we slowed down, & they told us the owners were hoping for more patrons. not memorial day parade new york to memorial day parade anyone :->, we decided to stop.

the place is called ginny’s. here are ginny (in red) & her daughter, elizabeth. ginny bakes all the desserts; they’re holding the chocolate meringue pie that linda & i soon sampled.

for the last 5 miles or so, we headed into the winds, & it was getting hot. when we got here to the victorian inn, the desk manager gave us each a bottle of memorial day parade new york water. the folks are so memorial day parade new york here. they even put us all in first-floor rooms! no one has to carry her bike & bag upstairs tonight.

clark & i accomplished the memorial day parade ride back to the motel by 4. at 6:30 was supper … linda’s first solo memorial day parade she’ll be our cook from now on. memorial day parade dinner, georgia presented michelle a card that we’ve all signed, along with michelle’s tips from us all. michelle gave a little talk about how much she’ll miss us. we’re happy memorial day parade nyc can now go off & enjoy her summer, but we’ll miss her cooking & her wonderfully serene personality.

tomorrow we ride about 64 miles to ste. genevieve, MO. jackie says it’s our hilliest ride. that’s something to look forward to!
